Bridging rural Africa and America, ERA is a natural facilitator of cross cultural exchanges including visits to Uganda by American volunteers and a penpal exchange program. From Denver, Colorado where ERA is based, to Northern Uganda, where ERA founders Albert and Marcellina Otii hail from and beyond, ERA’s mission includes stewardship of global citizenry for people of all ages.
- Global Volunteers: Volunteers have the opportunity to Uganda to help with ERA projects, donating their expertise and valued time; local volunteers assist with sorting and packing the thousands of books being collected to send to Uganda, fundraising and developing ERA projects and programs.
- ERA Pen Pals: A program to promote cross-cultural education and writing at the same time, children in Northern Uganda and and the US will exchange letters through a pen pal exchange program. Other activities for the ERA Penpals include book drives and creative fundraising projects.
